As a Junior Engineering Application Administrator, you will be responsible for managing Linux-based virtual machines (VMs) and providing user support for both on-premise and cloud services. You'll collaborate with internal teams like IT and other Application Services to ensure seamless service integrations and contribute to user acceptance testing for new upgrades. Responsibilities: 1. Linux VM Administration: - Maintain and update Linux-based VMs for various engineering services. - Install and upgrade services on Linux systems. - Perform database and service backups. - Manage SSL certificates. - Implement automation scripts for routine tasks. 2. User Support: - Provide first-level user support for on-premise and cloud services. - Manage licenses and user accounts. - Analyze usage patterns and optimize licensing. - Integrate services as needed. - Customize solutions based on user requirements. 3. Collaboration: - Collaborate with internal Application Support teams. - Set up new service integrations. - Participate in user acceptance testing for service upgrades. Requirements: - Proficiency in Linux administration. - Bash scripting expertise. - Fluent English with IT vocabulary. - Basic understanding of IT networking (routing, DNS, SSL, Active Directory). Preferred Skills (A Plus): - Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools. - Familiarity with virtual infrastructure (VMware, Docker, Amazon Web Services). - Basic Python scripting knowledge.
