We are heading into an exciting period with both new major greenfield projects as well as upgrade of existing production lines. The project pipeline is increasing and it has been decided to increase and reorganise the department too in order to deliver on the projects in a proper manner for both customers and employees. The reorganisation has created a vacancy as section manager for Cold End Engineering.You will become a part of Group Technology – Cold End & Internal Logistics, counting currently approximately 35 engaged colleagues delivering equipment for production, material handling and storage used by our factories globally. Currently more than 10 employees are employed in the Cold End section and the section is growing, so you can also expect to expand your section and onboard new colleagues. What you will be doingThe section has a large portfolio of equipment we are in the process of standardising. The standardisation is important for our ability to reduce project duration and costs and you will lead the continuation of this work and ensure the benefits are harvested.You will also play a key role in developing the equipment to improve performance and total cost of ownership together with your skilled team of mechanical, electrical and process engineers. As section manager you will be the owner of our standards. This means that you and your section have the expertise and know how our solutions should be build in order to secure safe operation and a competitive total cost of ownership.Moreover, you will travel approximately 30-40 days per year visiting our suppliers, employees in Denmark and factory sites primarily within Europe and North America. Moreover, you will develop, motivate and lead the section of Cold End which will be the engineering competence centre within this area. The competences of the team include:Mechanical engineering of proprietary equipment. We design our own machines when suitable machines are not available on the open, commercial market.Electrical engineering of proprietary equipment.Mechanical and electrical specification of functional or turnkey deliveries, when machines are available at the commercial market.Process engineering for line layout, machine functionality expertise, commissioning and optimisation.This is what you offer In this position, it is important that you are ambitious on behalf of your team and not afraid to bring your own ideas to the table while driving the development of the section. You have a bright and analytical mind and are able to stay focused regardless of potential obstacles that may occur.We are looking for a motivational and hands-on leader who can facilitate great teamwork.You are curious on technology and how machines are designed. You have probably been a project engineer yourself and know what it takes to prepare a set of manufacturing documentation or specification for functional or turnkey equipment to be used as tender material.Moreover, we imagine that you:Have a BSc or an MSc in engineering - probably Mechanical EngineeringHave experience in machine design and can handle a CAD systemPreferably have experience from leading a team or department of specialists Have a basic understanding of the task of electrical engineersKnow how to communicate expectations, priorities and strategic directionsAre a structured individual who can stick to and finalize a planAre curious on both people and technology in generalHave excellent communication skills and are fluent in English This is what we offerBy joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company.
