Commissioning Manager (f/m/d) for HVDC systems About the Role Location Poland Dolnoslaskie Wroclaw Company Siemens Energy Sp. z Organization SE CFO Business Unit Project Entity Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional Location: Projects AbroadA Snapshot of Your DayAs a Commissioning Manager, you will join the Erection and Commissioning department for a delegation in Germany at the Forchheim Testfield. This department is responsible for the commissioning of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems worldwide. Within our HVDC Control Team, we carry out the implementation, testing, and verification of hardware and software for innovative HVDC applications, using lean and agile methods. The delegation in Germany will last about 1 year, after which you will be assigned to a dedicated project for approximately another year.How You’ll Make an Impact On-time, cost-effective and quality-oriented planning and execution of tests as well as the commissioning of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systemsManagement of an international team of commissioning engineers.Ensuring contractual obligations and compliance with legal regulations as well as occupational health and safety regulations.Organization of system tests on site.Ensuring a trouble-free construction site process as well as monitoring, documentation and communication of the work progress involving the suppliers and internal and external partners.Planning and implementation of technical clarifications with PM’s and customers.Participation in internal improvement programs ( Lessons Learned).What You BringUniversity degree in Electrical engineering, Energy engineering or comparable technical education.5+ years of professional experience in the field of commissioning or commissioning management of large plants ( HVDC plants, power plants, switchgear, power distribution systems).Positive conflict management, decision-making ability, result orientation, motivation and communication skills in international/multicultural teams.Basic knowledge in the field of Project management.English proficiency required; German skills are a plus but not a requirement.Executing energy projects of several months or long-term duration, mainly located outside Poland.
