Making animals’ lives better makes life better – join our team today! Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our dynamic Global Corporate Tax team.
This role is focused on providing leadership and oversight for all aspects of tax accounting, reporting, and compliance for our multinational operations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in US GAAP (ASC 740) accounting for income taxes and proven experience in managing tax provision processes for a large multinational corporation. This position reports to the Tax Director, Global Tax Accounting & Reporting, and will lead efforts to ensure the accurate reporting of the company’s global tax position.
The Tax Director will work closely with affiliate teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while managing tax-related audits and controversies.
Additionally, this role will focus on the execution of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, financial reporting for M&A transactions, and supporting SOX compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direction and oversight on all aspects of international tax accounting and tax provision processes, including quarterly and annual reporting (10Q and 10K). - Develop and deliver US GAAP income tax provision training to affiliate teams, ensuring smooth execution of income tax provisions across regions. - Manage the coordination of global foreign affiliate income tax compliance processes, focusing on seamless quarterly and annual provision completion. - Lead research regarding appropriate ASC 740 reporting positions and tax compliance requirements across affiliates. - Oversee tax-related matters for M&A transactions, ensuring appropriate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. - Support SOX compliance, providing documentation and deliverables for tax-related processes. - Manage relationships with external auditors and service providers, ensuring efficient performance. - Provide support and leadership on cross-functional global and regional tax projects. - Assist in cash tax payment analysis and related documentation requirements. - Lead initiatives addressing uncertain tax positions (UTPs) and managing annual return to provision true-ups (RTPs). Minimum Requirements: - 10+ years of combined experience in tax accounting, tax compliance, and tax planning, preferably with a mix of Public Accounting and multinational corporate tax roles. - Extensive experience with US GAAP income tax accounting under ASC 740. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. - Strong tax planning and research skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations. - Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented environment. - Fluency in English, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
